Annual Passes:
Can I exchange my ticket for an annual pass?
Yes, on the day of your visit you can pay the difference to upgrade your ticket to an annual pass. This must be done in person at our museum shop.
How do I get a physical annual pass?
Please visit the ticket sales at the museum, where our staff will provide you with your physical annual pass.
How do I renew my annual pass?
If you have a digital annual pass, you can renew it directly in your Wallet app after the expiration date. Tap the info icon in the top right corner, then select ‘Manage Annual Pass’ and follow the instructions. You can also renew or upgrade your annual pass through your account on our webshop. Physical annual passes can be renewed at the museum’s ticket sales or in the Palm House.
Can I lend my annual pass to someone else?
No, your annual pass is personal. Misuse may result in the pass being revoked.
How do I change my contact information linked to my annual pass?
Log in to your account via our webshop and update your information. If you change your email and wish to continue receiving our newsletter, please re-subscribe on our website.
How can I share my child's digital annual pass with my partner?
A digital annual pass can be stored on multiple phones and is identified by name and picture. When you create the annual pass, you will receive an email with a link to the digital pass. Forward this email to your partner, grandparents, or others who need access. You can also share the pass directly from the Wallet app on your phone by tapping the info icon and following the instructions.
Will my annual pass renew automatically?
Unfortunately, we do not offer automatic renewal of annual passes.
Tickets:
I bought a ticket online. Where can it be used, and how long is it valid?
If you purchased a ticket through our webshop, it is valid for one year from the purchase date. This ticket grants access to one visit to the Natural History Museum Denmark and one visit to the Palm House within 48 hours from the first visit. Please note that tickets are non-refundable.
Can I use my ticket multiple times?
Your ticket is valid for one visit to the Palm House and one visit to the Natural History Museum Denmark at Øster Voldgade 5-7. The ticket is valid for 48 hours.
Is it free to enter the Botanical Garden?
Yes, entry to the Botanical Garden is free. See the garden's opening hours here.
Do I need to book a timeslot before my visit?
We currently do not require reservations, so you are welcome to visit any time within opening hours.

What discount programs do you have with other organizations?
If you have a valid annual pass to one of Denmark's Natural History Museums, you will receive a 50% discount on admission to the Natural History Museum Denmark upon presentation of a valid pass.
I have a press card. Can I enter for free?
Journalists wishing to visit the Natural History Museum Denmark, the Palm House, and the Botanical Garden for a news story must be accredited in advance. Please contact the museum's communications department. We strive to handle press inquiries quickly, but the museum cannot guarantee same-day permission for press visits. See more here.

I received a gift card. Where can I use it?
Gift cards can be used both on our webshop and in our ticket sales and shops.
How long is my gift card valid?
Your gift card is valid for three years from the purchase date. The purchase date is noted on the gift card.
Practical information:
Can I take professional photos and videos in the Botanical Garden and the Palm House?
Photos intended for commercial use require a photo permit. More information and contact details can be found on our website here.
What should I know before visiting the Botanical Garden and the exhibitions?
As the Botanical Garden is a living museum, pets (except guide dogs) and bicycles are not allowed, and running is prohibited. Bicycle parking is available at Nørreport Station or in front of the museum at Øster Voldgade 5-7.
Strollers are not allowed in the exhibition areas of the Palm House and the Natural History Museum Denmark. Strollers can be borrowed at the museum if they are available.

Is it possible to store bags and other large items during my visit to the Palm House?
We recommend not bringing large bags and backpacks, as the Palm House contains many rare plants that can be damaged. If you do bring a backpack, it must be worn on your front. Suitcases are not allowed inside the Palm House, and we cannot store them for you.
Can I pick flowers, leaves, berries, etc., in the Botanical Garden and the Palm House?
The Botanical Garden and the Palm House are part of the Natural History Museum Denmark and are considered a living collection. Therefore, you are not allowed to pick anything from the garden. If you wish to take home a beautiful flower as a souvenir, you can explore the Botanical Garden's shop any day of the week.
When will the new museum open?
We are in the final stages of completing the new museum building and look forward to welcoming our guests whithin the next couple of years. You can find updates on the museum construction here.
