When returning an item, it is your responsibility to ensure that it is properly packaged. You carry the risk for the item from the time of delivery to you until the moment we receive it in the museum’s webshop.

If you cancel the purchase and return the item, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (excluding any additional costs as a result of choosing a different delivery method than the cheapest standard delivery method we offer) without undue delay. We will make the repayment using the same payment method that you used for the original transaction.

We will withhold the refund payment until we have received the item or until you have provided proof that you have returned the item.

Items should be returned to:

The Natural History Museum of Denmark
The University of Copenhagen

Once we receive the returned item, we will check to see whether it is in substantially the same condition as when it was delivered to you. If it is not, then you may be required to pay for the difference between the price of the item and the diminished value the item has acquired. You are only liable for any diminished value of the item that results from the handling of the item other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item. If the packaging of the item is important vis-à-vis reselling it, you must not destroy the packaging or throw it away.

Complaints
There is a 2-year warranty.
If you find a defect in an item you have purchased, please email webshop@snm.dk, describing the defect about which you wish to complain, and stating the order number that was issued to you when you purchased the item.

Formation of the agreement
The purchase agreement is subject to the general rules of Danish law. The agreement is binding on both parties once you place your order.
